Listen to Radio Habana Cuba, A Voice for Cuba and the World!
Radio Habana Cuba, or RHC, is a radio station that aims to be “a voice of friendship around the world”. It is the voice of the Cuban people and their revolution. A symbol of solidarity and cooperation with other peoples and nations. This is the voice of peace and justice.
History:
Although RHC officially emerged on May 1, 1961, the idea of creating a Cuban radio station with international reach germinated in the Sierra Maestra itself during the final campaign against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. After the creation by Che in February 1958 of Radio Rebelde, the leadership of the guerrilla army reflected on the possibility of establishing, after the long-awaited triumph, a radio station with enough power to reach all the countries of the world with the truth of the Cuban Revolution.
Programs:
In April 2003, the website of Radio Habana Cuba received the Grand Prize at the XXV National Radio Festival, which for the first time was awarded to the websites of Cuban Radio Broadcasting.
RHC has a vision of a world where the peoples and nations live in peace, harmony and cooperation. Respect the sovereignty, diversity and dignity of everyone is its vision. It has a mission of informing, educating and inspiring the world about the Cuban reality and the Cuban revolution. A bridge of friendship and solidarity between Cuba and the world.
